Some notes from a good Sunday:
- Took our oldest, Jordan, to the airport for his trip for Student Leadership University 301 with Jay Strack. Unbelievable tour he’s on.
- Took time to visit 4 year old church plant, Revolution Church, in Canton, GA. God is using them uniquely. An unexplainable heart for the untouched. They launch a second location in Holly Springs in a few weeks. Not far from my growing up stomping grounds in Roswell.
- Worshipped at Northpoint in Alpharetta for the 11:00 service. Louie Giglio preached a great message. Andy announced that Louie is planting a new church next year in the Atlanta area. Andy and Louie have been friends since they were 6 years old. Wow for Atlanta!
- Kim and I sat in on a “Starting Point” environment orientation. This is the environment at Northpoint, Buckhead, and Browns Bridge, where people come to get their questions answered about God, to grow closer to God, or just openly communicate. Jason and Erin did a great job of using just the right language to a room full of people they knew nothing about! A cool caveat: Membership for Northpoint is done online. They don’t have a track where you go through a class to join. They have everything you need to join right there on their website. It’s simple, if you join Northpoint, you come to worship, serve somewhere, and get in a small group community. Love it!
- Kristian Stanfill led worship at Northpoint; my nephews, Zach and Daniel Riggs love him; he just did their youth camp in California. Krisitian has a unique and transparent heart who can lead a group into the presence of God. He’s the real deal!
Two Things:
1.) Hated I missed you
2.) Hated that you came to our early service 🙂
