Often in ministry, no doubt, leaders start out loving the kingdom. Something can happen called “mine,” “I’ve paid the price,” “I’ve been here forever,” and “chimers.” I call them “chimers” because these are people that come along and edify the man who has had some success. Certainly nothing wrong with encouragement, as we all need it. I think the danger lies with the leader stacking up those words of affirmation in the mindset of the brain and letting them enlarge over time, thereby becoming a leader who forgets the simplicities of being a believer. What do you think?
