We have had so many great churches through the years, but I believe, more authentic ones, now, than ever before. Out of the Bible belt, people come as they are….in the Bible belt people come as they are expected to be. That results in a fake environment, people covering their sin, and a hiding church. We must fight hard to keep it real. When we get alright with telling the truth about where we are in life, that one step closer to Jesus Christ becomes much easier. In fact, it begins. Without authentic honesty, the step won’t start.
I so believe this to be true…. We have visited so many churches in our quest to find the perfect one. And so many you felt like you had to be dressed a certain way and have your kids in the latest and greatest…. and thats not what it’s all about!!! I love being at Origin and my children love it too. It is a very comfortable feeling. I am so over being with the “fake” crowd and need to be where I am called to be…
