I have been in church all of my life, and growing up, was often bored, not with God, but with the church environment. I always knew there could be something more energizing, more real, more transparent, and more inviting. Most of what I now look back on through the years, was man-made conformity. In the book, Unchristian, the following quote sums up the majority of churches, and explains why we are so ineffective: “Often outsiders’ perceptions of Christianity reflect a church infatuated with itself.” (pg. 14)
This will only become different with a mind for the kindgom, radical change, and reckless abandon!
