Coolness or lack of it, has never been the catalyst that makes God move! I’ve always been a renegade, not just being a part of something because everybody was, but sifting it through my own heart and doing what God led me to do. Ladies and gentlemen, if you are a mile wide and an inch deep in your theology, your preaching will be thin and people will be bored. Nobody loves all the bells and whistles in church more than I do, but in the end, that is not what a human being was created to crave…deep inside, God made even our 16-29 year-old generation to crave Himself. That has and will never change! Here’s what we plan to do at Origin: Give us every creative element we can muster, love people where they are, demonstrate realness and authenticity from the top down, and speak God’s truth with love. It doesn’t get any better than that! If I were you, I would go back and learn to communicate God’s word with relevant application. Relevance without His word is heresy! People are literally starving to death. Hey, you’ll find people tolerate ALL your creativity, IF, His word is dissected and put back together served with applicable steps.
