I’ve met Gary Lamb twice and admired his tenacity for being a portable at Revolution Church in Canton, GA. In fact, God used him to build a great work. Gary just recently confessed to an adulterous relationship outside of his marriage. He resigned. He’s heartbroken along with many others. I must say that I am very impressed with his candidness and openness to share his pain and his sin with the world. It’s always been my personal opinion that God is either the God of forgiveness we all speak for, preach for, and teach for, or what we are all doing is a waste of our time. I assure you, God is NEVER through with somebody He created in HIS image. Gary writes, “I have received over 30 emails from pastors (all anonymous) confessing to be involved currently in sexual affairs.” Wow! Bill Stafford said years ago, that “Ten minutes out of the will of God and any of us will do anything.” That, is a true statement. Hurt and pain is everywhere! Gary, keep the faith! Hope is our greatest asset from the Almighty! HE still has this BIG plan for your life. Adrian Rogers always said, “God uses greatly those He hurts deeply.”

Don’t you think God loves us too much to hurt us? I think we make choices that hurt us deeply and that God allows things in our lives that hurt…but He doesn’t hurt us intentionally. A.W. Tozer said “Seldom does God use a person greatly who has not been hurt deeply.” I agree. Love ya!
Yes, I think that’s exactly the context Adrian meant it to be.
